Not sure if I am superstitious, but I rather believe my instinct. I always use abbr gd, for good, but when it comes to good luck, I always spell it out. Coz we just cant afford to compromise luck.

Today, I made a fool of myself again with hokkien. I had wanton noodles for lunch. As usual, I dont finish my noodles. I left about more than half bowl of noodles when I pushed it away from me. The cleaner asked me in hokkien if it was not nice.

Naturally I'll reply in hokkien. Shaking my head "我吃...." trying to recall how to say cant finish in hokkien. He stared at me for a few seconds, then walked off. I felt so stupid, I should have just answered him in mandarin or even a smile is better than my 我吃 dotzzzzz .
