It's been two weeks since I last walked into this little corner of mine. Luckily not too dusty except some footprints spotted. Who came in ? Hehe.. you, you or you ? *looking left and right*
Some things happened during this period and I knew some of you were or still are very worried. Sorry my loved ones. So, today, I going to give a short update on it and I'll try not to make it too alarming.
Well, I was admitted to the hospital. Just for 2 days. I was having this acute headache that never goes away even with panadols. Subsequently, my hands and legs started swelling, only realised it when I couldnt put on my rings. The swell is somehow like water retention.
Went to SGH A&E and they wanted to admit me immediately coz my blood test showed that my HB (haemoglobin) level is 8.1 which is way lower than the norm of 12. They suspected the blood is not functioning properly and thus not enough oxygen was brought to my brain which explained the non-stopped headache. That was Monday (I think 2 weeks ago). I couldnt admit then as I still have my last paper. So I went home.
My condition didnt improve at all and I went back on Wednesday. The HB level has dropped drastically to 7.4. Now, I really have no choice.
The stay was.. hmm.. a little scary especially at night when everyone has left. During the day, the vampire kept visiting me (for my blood). It was terrible as my threshold for pain is relatively really low plus the fact that my stupid veins are so fine, they always have problem getting to it.
The swell subsided after one day, so is the headache. The doctor suspected was just some kind of virus attack. You know, anything unexplainable these days will be V.I.R.U.S. So the episode is closed except that my HB situation is still in their open file. Discharged on Friday with the last test result pending. This test is to check if I have thalassemia. It was negative after I went back for review. However, the doctor is still not satisfied with the result and I am going through another test for it, via DNA. Not biological check here.. haha.. Still through blood test.. ARGHHH
ARGHHH !!! Do you know that the "standard procedure" in Haematology Specialist Dept is to have your BLOOD TEST done before even seeing the doctor ???!!!
